PaxGenBio expands to Southeast Asia through MedLab Asia 2022 

The Molecular Diagnostics Company PaxGenBio announced on October 20th that it is seeking for expansion in Southeast Asia market by attending MedLab Asia 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, until October 21^st. 

“MedLab Asia” is an international fair for medical devices that is held every year around Asia. This time 260 companies from 29 countries, are attending and will display in vitro diagnostics products for molecular diagnostics, immunodiagnostics, clinical chemistry and clinical microbiology. It is a place where medical professionals and industrial officials can exchange on the latest information and knowledge. 

PaxGenBio displayed its molecular diagnostics products using the company’s core technology MPCR-ULFA (Multiplex PCR-Universal Lateral Flow Assay) at this exhibition. 

“The company focused on showcasing “PaxView® ULFA Reader” and “PaxView® STI12 MPCR-ULFA Kit” which can detect simultaneously 12 types of sexually transmitted infectious diseases, because they were recently launched and obtained export license”, said the company’s official and added: “Mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria diagnostic test kit, as well as the kit for the detection and genotyping of human papillomavirus (HPV) that causes cervical cancer, were introduced, and we had business meetings with potential Southeast Asian customers”. 

PaxGenBio expects to find new partners and expand exports in Southeast Asia by attending Medlab Asia. 

PaxGenBio’s multiple and rapid molecular diagnostics system, “MPCR-ULFA”, is a core technology allowing multiple detection of infectious diseases as well as genotyping. The company has 5 registered patents for this technology, including U.S patents. The company explained that it is a convenient and fast molecular diagnostic technology for which you can check the results whether with naked eye or with the automated analyzer “PaxView® ULFA Reader”.

팍스젠바이오, 메드랩 아시아 2022 통해 동남아 진출 확대 

분자진단 전문기업 팍스젠바이오가 오는 21일까지 태국 방콕에서 열리는 '메드랩 아시아 2022'(Medlab Asia 2022)를 통해 동남아 시장 진출을 모색한다고 20일 밝혔다.

메드랩 아시아는 국제 의료기기 박람회로 해마다 아시아 지역을 순회하며 개최된다. 이번 박람회에는 29개국 260여 개 업체가 참여해 분자진단, 면역진단, 임상화학, 임상미생물학 등 체외진단 제품을 전시한다. 산업 관계자 및 의료인들이 최신 정보와 지식을 교류하는 자리다.

팍스젠바이오는 이번 전시회에서 자사 핵심기술 'MPCR-ULFA'(Multiplex PCR-Universal Lateral Flow Assay)를 이용한 분자진단 기술과 제품을 선보였다.

업체 관계자는 "최근 출시와 더불어 수출 허가를 획득한 성매개 감염 질환 12종 동시 진단 제품 'PaxView® STI 12 MPCR-ULFA 키트'와 리더기(PaxView® ULFA Reader)를 중점적으로 선보였다"며 "결핵·비결핵 항산균 진단키트 및 자궁경부암의 원인이 되는 HPV 바이러스 유전자형 진단 제품을 선보이고 동남아시아 잠재 고객과 상담도 진행했다"고 말했다.

팍스젠바이오 측은 이번 메드랩 아시아를 계기로 파트너를 추가로 발굴, 동남아시아 시장의 수출을 확장할 수 있을 것으로 기대했다.

팍스젠바이오의 다중 신속 분자진단 시스템 'MPCR-ULFA 기술'은 감염성 질환의 다중진단과 유전자형 진단이 가능한 원천기술이다. 미국 특허를 포함해 5건의 특허를 등록했다. 육안으로 결과를 확인하거나 PaxView® ULFA 리더기로 자동 분석할 수 있는 신속 편리한 분자진단 기술이라는 게 업체 측 설명이다.
